Frequently asked questions

Do I need prior knowledge of spore trap air sampling?

No! This course is designed in an easy to understand way and walks you through all aspects of spore trap testing. However, it would be handy to have a basic level of experience with these pumps and tests. We are going to assume that you are familiar with common mold spores and how to use the sampling equipment.

How long do I have access to the course content?

Once purchased, you will have 60 days to consume all the content in the course. The course is designed so that you can work on bits and pieces at a time, or knock it out in two days! It's completely up to you.

How do I receive my certificate?

Once all the course material is completed, a certificate will be automatically issued to you.

What is my next step after taking this course?

This course is designed to teach you the basics of building science. We believe the concepts of building science are necessary to move forward in almost any sector of the construction or inspection industry. Once this course is complete, you will have the fundamental concepts to apply towards your desired field. This could be home inspections, energy auditing, blower door testing, mold inspection, indoor environmental assessments, building construction, HVAC, and more.

What if I have questions about concepts I don't understand?

The instructors for the course are available for any questions you may have. Additionally, each video has a section to add questions and comments so that you can engage with the instructors and other students on topics specific to the content at hand.
